The beautiful monument Petra has inspired many buildings and expressions all round the architecture dimensions. This performing arts centre and its architectural expression had inspired uniquely from the petra. It has appropriately inspired the centre as an aspiration for the artificial oasis and sanctuary as a source for the new analogy and contemporary culture through innovative design by the Hadid Architects yet again.

Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec

March 16th, 2012

An OMA’s competition for the expansion of Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec (MNBAQ) was held. Apart from the winning entries and others what I really found very interesting was the entries by BIG in partner with Fugère Architectes. At present the museum host extensive major travelling exhibitions and collections of contemporary arts and designs and historic exhibitions from across the globe. It has three blocks existing with different architecture expressions and purposes and history. Now the design problem is to expand this museum through innovative design interventions and proposals due to its limited scope to exhibit with the demands.

Staedal Museum in Frankfurt

March 14th, 2012

Staedal Museum in Frankfurt has some magnificient design surprises, one is the underground gallery design by Schneider + Schumacher, German architects. It creates a hollow void like bulging lawn embedded below ground. This generous garden graciously fitted flood lights will be the new contemporary architecture design for the modern Frankfurt. The plan proposed by Schneider + Schumacher will not be located above the ground adjacent to the existing original museum building. The original museum building was built on  Frankfurt’s Schaumainkai in 1878.
